We are very EXCITED to announce that Axel Howerton will be part of our Beware The Ides Of March Multi-Author Mystery Celebration!!
Axel Howerton is the author of the darkly funny detective novel Hot Sinatra, and a finalist for the 2014 Arthur Ellis Award for Best First Novel. His forthcoming novel Furr is described as “Twin Peaks meets Supernaturalā in the Rocky Mountains. His short fiction and essays have appeared in innumerable anthologies and publications. Axel is also the editor of the anthologies Death By Drive-In, Tall Tales of the Weird West, the Alberta crime collection AB Negative, and the upcoming Sci-Fi Noir spectacular Black Hole Noir. He is currently in the running for this year’s Arthur Ellis, Derringer and Aurora awards.
He is the organizer of the quarterly Calgary crime soiree #NoirBarYYC, a member of the the Kintsugi Poets Collective, and the CSFFA, as well as serving on the board of the Crime Writers of Canada. When heās not on-duty as a hometown anti-hero, Axel spends most of his time roaming the untamed prairies of Alberta with his two brilliant young sons and a wife that is way out of his league.

Where was I? News!
Award season is in full effect, and I’ve got a couple of stories in for the Derringer Awards (Short Mystery Fiction Society) and the Arthur Ellis Awards (Crime Writers of Canada). It also looks like FURR made it’s way onto the Aurora ballot! (Canadian Science-Fiction and Fantasy Association).
So cross your fingers!
Unless you’re somebody who votes in those places, then use those fingers to vote… ahem… initial here… ahem…
I am still slowly muddling through the process of finishing up the HOT SINATRA stories collection UNO MOSSĀ (which email subscribers to the GotHow Crew will receive for FREE)
Then I’ll be working on edits for the single-book release of FURRsometime later this year from Tyche Books!

Mere moments ago, I signed the contract for a full release of FURR, my werewolf-strippers-mad-magicians-and-boozehound-heroes novel, currently available for a very short time in Cornucopia Press’ spectacular box set SPELLS & SPIRITS
Scheduled for sometime in late 2016 to early 2017, Tyche Books will be doing a paperback, ebook and possibly audio release for a new bigger, badder, and wolfier version of this “Supernatural meets Twin Peaks in the Canadian Rockies” book.
