Leslea Tash’s BIRD AFTER BIRD – get it now!

I don’t do this kind of thing very often, but when Leslea “Red” Tash puts out a new book, I’m going to take notice, and I’m going to spread the word. Tash and I have worked on numerous projects together, including the best-selling (on Kindle) holiday anthology LET IT SNOW, the steampunk comic STEAMPUNK ORIGINALS, and on a YA novel that hasn’t quite made its way into the world yet. Suffice it to say, she is aces, and one of the finest writers I know. One of my favorites. So do yourself a favor and pick up her new book. I did.

BIRD AFTER BIRD is the story of two warriors:

Laurence Byrd grew up a lanky Hoosier kid with the good/bad fortune of having the same name as the state’s perennial basketball legend. With a better affinity for dogs than sports or school, he ends up in the Army instead of the Chicago art school of his dreams. Still, his service to our country is something he can be proud of–until an argument with the girl who means the world to him results in a series of events that blows his life apart. With no one left to understand him, black sheep Laurie pours out his heart into letters and drawings he never intends to send–then he folds them into paper cranes that he leaves behind like messages in little winged bottles. He never dreams someone might be finding them.

And she’s even been swell enough as to offer up a special deal for all youse peeps. So check-it-the-funk-out!

Let It Snow… Bestseller!

LetItSnoweFestYou may remember a little thing that came out last holiday season, a little collection of stories set in author’s pre-existing universes. It featured some Red Tash, a little Jack Wallen zombie madness, some cool stuff from Mercedes M. Yardley, Connie Roberts-Huth, Jessica McHugh, T. Lee Ayers and Claudia Lefeve, some Tim Tash SFF, some Dickensian sci-fi from Marian Allen, and a little touch of Manlove & Kickerdick. Yes, that Manlove and Kickerdick, in a Christmas story… with snow and holiday garlands and festive balls…

Well, that book is now a certified Amazon bestseller, top of the ranks for Free Kindle Books: Christmas

What? Yeah. I know it’s July. What of it? According to Amazon Literary Law, it still counts. Not only that, but it was a finalist for Best Anthology in the 2013 eFestival of Words.

How you like me now, son?

Honestly, I’m just stoked to have something place in those damnable Amazon ratings. Go pick it up for FREE and enjoy the sound of jackboots pitter-pattering on the rooftops of L.A.’s most exclusive and stately underground brothel.

Then go pick up a copy of Clones, Fairies and Monsters in the Closet for the Manlove & Kickerdick origin story 999 Problems…

Which all leads to… HOT SINATRA

The most criminally under-read crime novel of the year. 😉
