FURR returning in October!

My newest novel Furr was originally only available for a limited time (November 2015 – February 2016) as part of the best-selling Spells and Spirits ebook box set from Cornucopia Press. BUT! Furr will now be released in full, singular, glorious book and digital form in October 2016 from Tyche Books! Stay tuned for more info, but peep the deets below:

Jimmy Finn is having a real bad day. He woke up drunk and on the wrong end of a nightstick. He lost his job, and had to see his shrink. Now the cops are after him, he’s falling apart, and his only friend is a volatile drug lord. How could it get any worse?

As smoke envelopes the city, Jimmy’s world closes in, and he finds himself on the run, and out of time. He’s either losing his mind, or becoming a monster. Or maybe it’s both.

Jimmy Finn has one last hope. A long-buried family secret, lost somewhere above a mysterious town in the mountains, full of bizarre shadows and a strange girl that haunts his memories.

Furr temp“Populated by a collection of characters you definitely want to have a drink with, but then hide in your basement while you count your fingers and toes afterward, this tale does not disappoint. ” – Amazon review – 5 Stars

“…rich storytelling with twists and turns that leave you breathless until you hit the last page. Highly recommended for anyone who loves supernatural elements without annoying romance.” – Amazon review – 5 Stars

Axel is also the editor of the anthologies Death By Drive-In, Tall Tales of the Weird West, the Alberta crime collection AB Negative, and the upcoming Sci-Fi Noir spectacular Black Hole Noir. Here we go again! CHP Anthology call… SCI FI NOIR

So I’m back in the saddle, as it were, putting together another Coffin Hop Press anthology for this summer. Following last year’s TALL TALES OF THE WEIRD WEST and AB NEGATIVE, we are finally kicking tires and lighting fires on the long-gestating, often-rumored, never-really-dead, resurrected-nonetheless SCI-FI NOIR Anthology(Title TBA).

If you’re interested, check out the post on Coffinhop.com

4-8K and a stricter definition of Noir, no unsolicited submissions, inquire with a proposal to minimize crossover and make sure your idea will fit. I’m a stickler when it comes to Noir (I’m teaching a class, ferf***sakes)

March 30 deadline for proposals, May 30 for finished stories

Debuts at the When Words Collide convention in August!
