His work, including short stories, columns, poetry and essays, have appeared the world over, in no fewer than five languages. Axel is the Prairies director of the Crime Writers of Canada, and a member of the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association, the Calgary Crime Writers, and the Kintsugi Poets. He is also the editor of the books "Death by Drive-In", "AB Negative", and "Tall Tales of the Weird West", and is the organizer behind one of Canada's first recurring "Noir At The Bar" events, #NoirBarYYC.

I don’t do this kind of thing very often, but when Leslea “Red” Tash puts out a new book, I’m going to take notice, and I’m going to spread the word. Tash and I have worked on numerous projects together, including the best-selling (on Kindle) holiday anthology LET IT SNOW, the steampunk comic STEAMPUNK ORIGINALS, and on a YA novel that hasn’t quite made its way into the world yet. Suffice it to say, she is aces, and one of the finest writers I know. One of my favorites. So do yourself a favor and pick up her new book. I did.
