Axel Howerton on Just Joshing and The Fictorians

I recently appeared on Josh Pantalleresco’s JUST JOSHING for his special 100th episode celebration, and I was honored to share the mic with my Coffin Hop Press amigo Robert Bose, whose short story collection FISHING WITH THE DEVIL is coming out at the same time as CON MORTE. You can get a little preview of both during this podcast, as well as some of the in’s and out’s of publishing and writing. This episode also features the immensely talented Vanessa Cardui.  CHECK IT!

Con Morte steaming up your cup this July!

Con Morte mockupBThose amazing bastards at Coffin Hop Press have just announced their new line of dark crime (and probably blackest of comedy) and noir novellas called, strangely enough, Noirvellas. And guess who’s bringing the dark skies and genre thunder right out of the gate? Axel Howerton. That’s who.

My novella CON MORTE, a long gestating, hitman-versus-every-goddamned-body story is the first release in the Noirvellas line, coming this July! Here’s the initial cover design!

Look for more in the Novella line a few times a year from CHP. (I’m already working on a couple of other ideas for it.) If you want to find out more, or if you have a novella-length (15-40k words) story that would fit the bill (dark, dangerous, full of noir and hardboiled conventions – Jim Thompson, Charles Willeford, all the way up to Dennis Lehane-style) check out the CURRENT PROJECTS page at www.coffinhop.com to inquire.
